There we go!
In the end it's ALWAYS about the money. And it's generally not the spouse that is worried about it, it's the children and grandchildren wanting as much as possible.
As for the "do gooders" they are called DOCTORS and society has long recognized their importance.
Mumia Abu Jamal, cop killer celebrity, gave a commencement speech over a loudspeaker to one of our esteemed institutions of higher learning, another, I forgot which, hired as a professor ex domestic terrorist Bernardine Dorhn, who said of the Tate-La Bianco murders, "offing the pigs with their own knives, far out! The Weathermen dig Charlie Manson!" Not to denigrate your point in any way, Wagglebee, it's just that some of our colleges and universities seem to take a perverse pleasure in hiring plenty of ratscum killers or would be killers to speak and teach.
The Schiavo’s need to move on.
Good point. However, the fact that many universities have become cesspools doesn’t mean that we should condone it.
"Move on" from what exactly?
Should Mothers Against Drunk Driving "move on" because their loved ones are dead?
Should Megan Kanka's family have "moved on"?
Do you routinely tell parents to "move on" after one of their children has been killed?
When their life devolves into daily misery, if I cared about them, yes I would.
Its not healthy for the living to do this. I’m not saying ‘forget’, don’t misunderstand.
I’m saying given the emotional toll, they should avoid being ‘leaders’ in this.
Kevorkian had nothing to do with their situation. Nothing at all. H was in prison, remember?
You are absolutely right. It is too sick-making that many of these 60's radical would-be bombers and the like now have nice comfy salaries with summers off, in the country they tried so hard to destroy!
Kevorkian had EVERYTHING to do with their situation. To say he didn’t would be like saying that Hitler had nothing to do with Auschwitz because he wasn’t there.
The Schiavo’s are trying to gain public recognition for the rights of the disabled, this is no different from MADD or those who pushed Megan’s Law. The “leaders” of movements like this have nearly always been those who lost someone through tragic circumstances.
Kevorkian had EVERYTHING to do with their situation.
No, in the real world he simply didn’t. Sorry.
I’ve said what I wanted to say. I’m not interested in redebating whats already history at this point.
So, you see no connection between Kevorkian and the euthanasia movement? Why then is the University of Florida spending so much money for him to give a speech? What else is he going to talk about? (I hardly think they would need to pay someone $50K and fly them across the country to talk about pathology.)
‘So, you see no connection between Kevorkian and the euthanasia movement?’
I see no connection with the case in question. You disputed it, even though he was in prison at the time.
Again, I have no desire to debate this. My view is clearly stated on the thread.
Terri was killed to push the euthanasia movement, Dr. Death is prominent in the euthanasia movement.
The Schiavos are working today to make sure that other disabled people aren’t euthanized.
There is a clear connection and, as you said, nothing to debate these are established facts.
There is a clear connection and, as you said, nothing to debate these are established facts.
whatever.
Thanks for your post.
Yeah, a guy who tried to start the debate on whether we should kill the disabled at their request has nothing to do with a case where a disabled woman was supposedly killed at her request. Nope, no connection there at all...
That logic escaped me too!
Move on my eye. A MURDER WAS COMMITTED. Judge Greer did it for reasons unbeknownst to me but lots of money went forward to make sure Terri would be killed by dehydration and starvation. It was THREE or FOUR attempted murders. They finally succeeded. They wanted her killed badly. It’s sad “they” included so many republicans.
