Why would I think it’s odd????? Would you rather work for a 20 year old that didn’t know anything or some one older that you could learn from? 40 isn’t old, it’s a lot younger than I am. I would love to be 40 again. I got my first management job in engineering when I was 26. It was hard because I had older people working for me. I treated everyone the same and used the older peoples experience to help me develop my department. Also remember, if the older people weren’t good at what they did, they wouldn’t be there.
