The best workers I have in my business are over 70.The younger kids are undependable and don’t want to learn the skills I need.

Of course they don't, there is no road to promotion or advancement with the top layer full.

Then when the oldsters die, your business dies. Good plan. It's a self limiting problem--the boomers won't live forever, or hopefully not much longer.

What an utterly stupid thing to say and I'm not a "boomer".

Excellent point. I work for an old company where the average worker has been on the job easily 30 years.

One of these workers was in an accident and disabled.

More than a year later they're STILL trying to figure out what he did, much less train somebody new.

What an incredibly horrible and selfish attitude. Just wait until someone hopes YOU don’t live much longer.

Oh, I’m not a boomer, either.

Reminds me of the young man who was applying for a job at our facility, Jeans with a hole in the knee ( Latest style I’m told), Long messy hair, T-Shirt with cut off sleeves and flip flops for shoes.

Seems he was some sort of sports star at his school but his grades were not good enough for higher education.

He was telling the interviewer what his conditions were if he was going to work here.

Never saw his face again.

Most of these “oldsters” are people born before the Baby Boomers. The oldest Baby Boomer is only 61 years old now. The youngest is 42. So by the time you get your wish and all the boomers die off, you’ll be an old geezer yourself if you are still living.

You’re a pea-brained ass.
