Did andy rooney really say:
DID YOU KNOW?
As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U.S. Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view . it is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments!
. DID YOU KNOW?
As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door.
DID YOU KNOW?
As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!
DID YOU KNOW?
There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C.
DID YOU KNOW?
James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement:
"We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."
DID YOU KNOW?
Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said:
"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ".

I read a few of the posts on that site; a lower group of morons I would not wish upon anyone (even Stern!).
DID YOU KNOW?
There’s a site called snopes?
I found some other references to this, but it isn’t attributed to Andy Rooney.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/capital.asp
NO.
I agree. it was emailed to me, the source and the idea that rooney would say anything that even remotely sounded pro-Christian or pro-Republic was unbelievable to me so, I turned to Freeers.
Yes I’m familar with scopes, but, am not convinced they are infallable.
Thank you.
Now scopes was yer basic monkey trial...
Snopes is pretty reliable. I would believe them before I believe anything I see at random in an email on on the Internet.
When I get stuff that looks questionable, I always go to Snopes first. They have never been wrong yet...to my knowledge.
” “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ”.”
Patrick Henry was a great man but was wrong on this point.
The Founding documents mention God - not Jesus.
I read the book. It was spot on. But, as any conservative knows, tell the truth at your own professional risk.
You must be prepared to be ostracized.
You must be prepared to be “unpersonned”, as you say.
You will not get plugs or interviews on the “Today Show”.
You will not get publishers lining up to publish you, even though conservative books are good sellers.
You will not get huge cash advances a la Hillary, Bill or any other liberal, even proven literary failures.
Andy Rooney is a hateful, left-wing cane-waver.
If you get an email alleging he said something stirring and patriotic, you can pretty much hit the delete key and add the sender to your list of credulous idiots.
Same goes for emails purporting quotes from Robin Williams or George Carlin.
For some reason, trolls out there on the web cycle between these three names in some sort of attempt to add the gloss of celebrity to stuff written by others. A good example is “I am a Bad American,” usually attributed in such emails to Carlin (who is actually a rabid far-left socialist and hardly inclined to utter such sentiments). In actuality that piece was authored right here on FR: see http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/carlin.asp and http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a39b09d010a26.htm
Try looking up the traitor known as john kerry. Everything they list is straight out of his “biography”.
Snopes lies by ommission.
Sorry, I meant snopes.
They are one and the same.
I and my Father are one. John 10:30

This is advice I will take. Thank you.
Thank you.
