LOL. Twist your words? I don’t think so, you are the one twisting the Word of God.

Are you willing to allow your wife to have multiple husband at the same time?

That would go against the innate behavior of men and women.

Because historically, any male who had no innate barrier to sharing his wife, would be less likely to pass his genes to the next generation.

And any woman who would prefer such a man as the father of her children, would risk passing genes for such unfit behavior to them, thus lessening the chance of her own genes surviving through the generations.

What is wise sexual behavior for a man and what is so for a woman, are in many ways of evolutionary necessisty, different.

The double standard is rooted in our genes, and wisely so.

Big Love, a show created by two gay men in a monogamous relationship for over 10 years, is a great look at how destructive polygamy is. It is a brilliant show, but is hardly glamorizing the idea of polygamy. If anything, the show slams every aspect of it.

That is total gibberish. Go check out the animal world there are examples of polygamy going both ways there as well monogamy.

As they say what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

The point is that polygamist see themselves as gods and do not see women as equals.

You don’t? You don’t see the effects of polygamy on Ben and Sarah? Barb? Marge who just wants more wives for friends? Bill, who needs viagra to keep up with them all? Honestly, I see polygamy, thanks to this show, as an excuse for having multiple sex partners wrapped in the safety of religion. Its a convenient excuse for being an out of control sex fiend. Helluva entertaining show though.

Reaaly? Cause I see a family with some unique problems, but they do love each other, and are commited to each other. Certainly not nirvana, but not worse then the serial polygamy, divorce and infidelity that affect a huge number of “normal” families.
