Do you think the entire Iraq war was about another country, or is that a convenient ‘alibi’ (for lack of a better word coming to my mind)?

Iraq isn’t a single war but one of the theaters on the war with IslamOfascist.

Iraq became the perfect storm after 9/11. Saddam's failure to live up to Gulf War cease fire agreements (UN Inspections, etc.), Iraqs support of terrorism, Payback for attempted assassination of G.H.W.B., Oil for food fiasco, Saudi Arabia wanting USA forces to leave, and then strategic importance of being able to threaten Iran. Iran has been the major impediment to the Israel/Palestinian peace process since Arafat bit the big one.
