The poor are obese because food is not in short supply in america. Everyone in america can eat his fill every day...EVEN THOSE WITH NO INCOMES EAT THEIR FILL EVERY DAY! The rich are thin because they make an effort to be healthy.

There is no correlation between wealth and hunger in this country. We have achieved a level of utopia in terms of food. Not only can the poor afford to eat themselves to death, they can also afford to drink themselves to death AND SMOKE A PACK OF CIGARETTES A DAY while doing so. That is an amazing achievement if you stop and think about it.

Tell me, do you consider yourself rich, poor or “comfortable?” Or do you have a different term for your living standard?

And about the cigarettes...I quit a few years ago. It was a waste of money. I’d like to know how the hell people on welfare can afford to buy them!
