The Bush family bought a lot of land down there. Thats the reason I mentioned it. I am sure their property is remote from the poverty stricken. Heard Big Daddy Bush bought down there too.

Its odd, the Clintoons bought property elsewhere too. Can’t remember where.

The new Bush family land holdings (reportedly 90,000 acres or so) are located in the Paraguayan hinterlands, above a huge, huge aquifer -- nicely sited, some have speculated, for the coming worldwide fresh-water wars. Other features include a 10,000-foot runway, which will handle just about any known aircraft up to and including the Shuttle.

Shelob and Willard's property is much more modest: a residential plot in a nice neighborhood at Punta Cana, in the conveniently located Dominican Republic.
