“Radio waves can cause cancer and leukemia”

What a ridiculous thing to say... I guess using your cell phone causes cancer? What about those people living next door to 50,000 watt transmitters? Do they get cancer?

From Coyote’s response it sounds like the risk is not great.

But in principle all electromagnetic waves (including radio waves, microwaves, ultra violet waves, gamma rays etc) follow the inverse square law - so that one watt at a range of one foot has a thousand times more effect than 1,000 watts at a 1,000 feet. Enough radio waves at close enough range can be dangerous.

But if these are below the threshold its likely not a consideration.

BTW, there are people who think there is a link between cell phones and brain cancer.

A close friend of mine was diagnosed with liver cancer almost two years ago. He was given 6 moths at best to get his affairs in order. Our employer stepped in by contacting some people he knew personally about a new treament using the same type of conditions. The injection of some special solution and then a process that was based on radio waves. This treatment is beyond the health coverage but they enacted a plan to proceed.

He just had a third treatment last week. The treatment leaves him understandably weak but he has not lost any hair and all indications are the cancr is in check if not remission. He is only one of 14 to have received this treatment as the conditions to receive it are very strict. As far as we know there has not been a 15th recipient because of the qualifications process.

This sounds on the same lines and hopefully the two can collaborate their findings to an ultimate treatment.

The hospital is Mayo in Jacksonville.
