9/11 conspiracy theorists multiply
Many Americans suspect U.S. government involvement or complicity

She's convinced, based on her freelance research, that a bomb went off about six minutes before an airplane hit the Pentagon -- or didn't hit it, as some believe the case may be. Catherine Austin Fitts served as assistant secretary of housing in the first President Bush's administration and gained a fine reputation as a fraud buster; David Bowman was chief of advanced space programs under presidents Ford and Carter. Fitts and Bowman agree that the "most unbelievable conspiracy" theory is the one retailed by the government.

It did - or it didn't. I'll stick with the facts. Barbara Honegger is a little more than nuts.
I know one such neo-leftie, who believes 9/11 was a government conspiracy. Absolutely unfathomable. I’ve seen the phrase “useful idiot” on FR for the first time a long time ago; I never imagined then that I would actually know one (albeit temporarily)...

The first person I'd go to to find out the facts of a building collapse would be a former Labor Dept. economist.

It just goes to show otherwise smart people can have no common sense.

These people are mentally ill.
There are innumerable Troofer websites that live to gang bang these polls as another way of “proving” the conspiracy.
I’m sure George Soros would pay 1 BILLION DOLLARS to the first person who steps forward and gives evidence that they were an operative of the multi-thousand person team to execute 911. However 6 years later NOT A SINGLE person claims to be part of the conspiracy team.
Think about that for a good long time. Tell me how not a single person has stepped forward to gather the ENDLESS FAME AND MONEY from disclosing the real story. It’s just patently inconceivable that you could contain this conspiracy.
There is no such thing as a secret in Washington. Even the smallest of actions in a back room of the White House becomes public knowledge. Ask Bill Clinton about that.
