Did any of you listen to Ahmadinejad’s speech at the UN? Opened wishing for the return of the Mahdi. Three differernt times he gave the ol’ “convert or die”. Said he was going to flat-out proliferate their nuke technology to their so-called Non Aligned buddies. Threatened the destruction of the Great Satan. Seemed a bit close to a declaration of war to me. Also seemed like he was asking for like-minded countries to join him against the US and Israel. Given Chavez’s “inshallah” during his press conference at the UN last year, and the meeting with Ahmadinejad at the same time, I’m wondering if the dots are starting to be connected.

I did watch most of it and my take was pretty much like yours. It honestly didn’t surprise me as the bluster and big talk seems to be his standard mo. That’s not to say it doesn’t concern me.

I think he will antagonize and push to start a war as he believes he has been chosen by his god to help in bringing back the mahdi. All just my speculation on his delusional mindset of course.
