South Korea insists it paid no ransom to Taliban

SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korea's presidential office denied a Taliban claim on Saturday that it had paid a ransom of more than $20 million for the release of 19 Christian missionaries held hostage in Afghanistan.

"We deny any payment for the release of South Korean hostages," said an official at the presidential Blue House.

Lets hope the Taliban is only trying to save face. There is also the matter of two Korean men of God shot over ten times each,that needs to be addressed. Thank you for the latest link.

According to this news story and thread, we just killed 40 Taliban right in the same vicinity where the "insurgents" released the South Korean hostages.
