To be fair to the cops, we don’t want this kind of stuff allowed in public restrooms. However, are “stings” the only way to stop it? Why not just a sign saying “no inappropriate behavior. Violators will be prosecuted.” If a cop has time to sit, plainclothed, in a stall, couldn’t he just stand in the bathroom, in his uniform? That would end the shenanigans more surely than sting operations.

I dunno but I sure got a good laugh at lunch when I said I ‘had a wide stance.’ People ridicule homosexuals. I don’t see that changing.

Yes, for the moment. But all the pervs would still be out and unaccounted for. I’d rather have them caught. I think it’s a far better disincentive for that sort of behavior, and I have a dream, someday, I will be able to send my son to a public bathroom and not worry that he is being propositioned by sodomites.

I was just saying that to a friend of mine. These stings seem to be a little iffy, from what I am understanding. YET the part of me that finds this whole behavior appalling wants them to be caught and prosecuted.

If cops started visibly monitoring public bathroons, would they then move their repulsive activity to another bathroom, in say “Target” then?

I am never letting my boys use public bathrooms again—and just when I had started letting them be “big boys”! UGH.

You would have to have a uniformed cop standing in every mens room, 24/7 for your idea to be effective. On the other hand, a cop in a few random mens rooms will be very effective, once word gets out that stings are being conducted. Sort of the same way that a concealed carry law benefits not only those who do carry, but those who don't. It introduces a level of doubt and fear in the "bad guys."

I’m still a little unclear as to just how “accidental” this sting was-—this maybe wasn’t more like entrapment???
Seems a bit too coincidental , as the election ramps up, and candidates on both sides are in full swing, that ONE senator, from IDAHO, right?, should get caught in a men’s
room in MINNEAPOLIS, right???? And that this Senator figures prominently in the Romney campaign.....I suppose it’s possible, but just barely.......
