Do you have sons? I have three.

You have no idea the anxiety I feel about their need to use a toilet in public places. When they’re little, they go with me into the ladies’. That works for a while. Then some women start to appear uncomfortable. Then my sons start to get uncomfortable. They want to go to the men’s room. They are embarrassed in the women’s room.

So I stand outside, waiting for them. And I hope.

I thank the police BIG TIME for these stings. This is not an “individual liberty” issue. These are public bathrooms. We moms can’t go in there (understandably). Just exactly what are we supposed to do?

I have never been in an airport without a family bathroom,,one room, with a lock for people with children.

Teach them to say "Buzz off, weirdo!" loudly. And scream "Help, Dad!" like hell if the weirdo makes suspicious activity toward them after being warned.

Unless you live in some really perverted place, that's plenty. And be wary of interstate rest areas or truckstop restrooms at night.

I think you're making a little more of it than you need to. These types almost never do anything if warned off. You'll notice in this account with Craig that he didn't move into the stall until after he locked eyes a number of times with the cop in the stall. They have an entire weird little protocol they follow.

Yes, I have sons, two teenagers in fact.

And shoe-tapping should not be a crime. It isn't, in fact. This cop's interpretation of the shoe-tapping is at issue.

Stand outside the men’s room and say as loudly as you possibly can, (child’s name) anyone in there bothers you scream bloody murder and I will be right in to help you.

Thank you for interjecting a fact that seems to have been missed in the threads I have read on this subject.

Men seeking sex in public bathrooms, parks and college libraries, etc.,need to be pursued and caught so that moms can permit their boys to use these facilities without undue fear that they will be exposed to these perverted activities,or even worse subjected to them.

I too have three boys and always made them go to public bathrooms together or I stood outside the door if I only had one with me. However, about ten years ago I recall a woman in San Diego,I think, who waited outside a public restroom in a park for her nephew. After about ten minutes she got worried and after calling his name and getting no response, she went in. The child had been sexually abused and murdered.

With our emphasis on tolerance, individual freedoms,non-judgementalism,egalitarianism and the horrors of hate speech,we have constructed a system that cannot work since it is both untethered from reality and lacks foundational values.
