Fugitive fundraiser's California contributions {Who's Hsu}
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 8/31/7 | John Wildermuth,Demian Bulwa

Wanted on Bay Area grand theft warrant, Dem donor gave $53,000 to causes in state --

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, District Attorney Kamala Harris, Assemblywoman Fiona Ma and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa took money from fugitive fundraiser Norman Hsu, the deep-pocketed Democrat who handed out more than $250,000 to Sen. Hillary Clinton and other party candidates and causes in the past few years.

According to state and local records, Hsu has given more than $53,000 to various political efforts in the state since 2004, including $27,600 to the state Democratic Party, $5,000 to 2006 gubernatorial hopeful Steve Westly and $10,000 to Hollywood director Rob Reiner's "Pre-School for All" campaign, which became Proposition 82 on the June 2006 ballot.

The state party gave $26,600 of that money back three weeks after Hsu donated it in 2004, said Bob Mulholland, a party consultant.

"Mr. Hsu asked for the money to be returned, saying he had made the donation in error," Mulholland said. "We haven't returned the $1,000 he gave us earlier this year, but the party will be looking at that contribution."

Besides giving the maximum $750 to Newsom's 2004 campaign, Hsu, a New York businessman, gave $750 to Harris' campaign for district attorney and then, in December 2006, gave Harris $500 more for her 2007 re-election campaign.

At the time he gave the money to San Francisco's district attorney, Hsu was wanted on a $2 million warrant issued when he didn't show up for sentencing after pleading no contest to San Mateo County felony grand theft charges in 1992.

A thought for FReeper researchers: not only should the obvious parallels to Chinagate corruption be pursued, but it is quite a mystery how Hsu could be a felony fugitive all these years and yet enter and leave the USA (it’s been reported that he makes trips to the PRC, etc.). How did he have a passport, didn’t his fugitive status get entered into the NCIC, how can someone be on the lam from Calif. and have a valid passport, etc.?????? What have Calif. and the feds done in all these years to catch this fugitive from justice? Absolutely nothing???

Also, recall all the issues around ABLE DANGER and also Gorelick’s “wall” etc. Have the Clintonistas set things up to enable people like Hsu and all his contacts to stay beneath the “radar” of federal databases, etc.?????? There were indications that Chinagate had a lot to do with how and why the Clintonistas crippled the FBI and CIA and DIA....

Inquiring minds need to know!

Take a cruise from San Francisco to Alaska and you need your passport as id these days with a 4 hour stop in Victoria.

There is a reason why he was identified as a donor this past week and now as a fugitive.

Maybe the Breck Girl’s husband, er, wife dropped the dime on Hsu.

Somebody did.

How long had that story been spiked at the WSJ?

Maybe Breck Girl should drop out and let his wife run.

Of course.......with a straight face the friggin' libs will take a position completely opposite where they used to be, and expect their sheeple to suck it up.

Speaking of sucking it up, I've always thought of her performing a bestial act upon a gorrila, every time I hear that bi!ch's name. JAIME GORELICK
