I am an antiwar Republican, in the specific instance of the military actions in Iraq.
We need to redouble our efforts to secure our borders here at home and capture and/or kill Osama Bin Laden wherever he is hiding.
But the war in Iraq was a mistake and has turned into a failure.

Iraq is the center front of the war on terror, it is in Iraq where the islamic terrorists decided to fight the US and it is in Iraq where our troops are annihilating them. We cannot leave Iraq before we totally crush the terrorists there because if we leave before achieving this objective the consequences on the US and the world will be worse than any nightmare we can imagine.

I don’t think anyone can arbitrarily say the war was a mistake. What if he’d sat back and done nothing? Where would Saddam be now? Where would we be? Would NY still be there, at all, in any form?
People will say forever that #43 was the worst president we ever had because that’s what the media spoon feeds. They said bad things about Harry Truman, too. It’s tough at the top, being fearless enough to do what must be done.
