The film's title refers to how, according to De Palma, mainstream American newspapers and television channels are failing to tell the true story of the war by keeping the most graphic images of the conflict away from public opinion.

The MSN dosen't miss any chances they get.

Just imagine how impossible it is to make a film that tells the perspective of why we fight and who we fight! Attempt that and you're immediately accused of racism and of trying to make the next "Triumph of the Will!"

Hollywood has a perverse send of patriotism and its role.

De Palma's "Casualties of War" was coincidentally (ha!) on one of the basic cable networks this week.
