To be honest I have to give credit where credit is due. The technical side of their arguments have merit. They are right with in the confines of the words in general. But a great nation does not rise in a vacuum, and the actions of man do not always fit neat definitions. Our history lays this out quite well. If it were simply a matter of law, the Constitution would never need amending and there would be no discussion of things such as intent and things Constitutional. Indeed there would be no need for courts, legislatures and executive powers, because man would always do right.
Again I look at the analogy I have used before. There is a difference between playing the notes and making music...
It is up to us whether that music is Bach or the Beastie Boys...
