Aside from that, unless he is a cop who is familiar with this problem in restrooms, or a homosexual, he should have had a much more defensive attitude, as someone who had no idea of what they were talking about. Had that been me, I would have been saying things like, “you have got to be kidding me, there is actually a code??? One that gays know nationwide?? This has to be candid camera or something!” IN other words, until this came out, I had no idea of any code or signals, who would? But he said NOTHING like that. He only argued where his feet were and where his hand was or wasn’t. Most of us would have had no idea even why they were asking.
Also, gidget, when the officer displayed his police badge under the stall wall, why did Craig react with “No!”
If he was innocent in his behavior, he would say oh this is interesting, give me a minute I’ll be right out.
But he had to be cajoled into meeting the officer outside the bathroom. No indignation, just denial. He KNEW what the arrest was about. He KNEW.
I thought about this after I heard the tape too. If it was me I would have been outraged saying something like: “I CAME IN HERE TO TAKE A $#!^! WTF!” Craig was trying to argue the points. IMO guilty, and if it was a dem in this position 99.9% of FR would see it the same way. We need to clean house, now is the best time to do it in this case.
