In short, the outrage and uproar should have been far, far greater for Bawney (as if he did not know this was going on?) than it is for Craig.

I do not pretend to know what happened there, but if you are not queer and do not know the "signals" (As I, for one do not.) then I can see where, depending on how his movements were described, he might have sent a message he did not know he had sent. The cop was there for a purpose, trolling for queers.
