Where I live in Union County, the Charlotte ‘burbs, we don’t have this high-concept stuff ... just ordinary waste, fraud, abuse, bribery, and corruption. Oh, and falling test scores!
I’ve been meaning to write to the Western Union weekly paper and suggest that they give a few million dollars of the schools’ budget to the library system, which serves the public much better!
Sounds like most city systems. I went to a suburban system which wasn’t bad, but I was only in public schools for K-5 and the first few days of 6th, and that was years ago.
The libraries are also controlled by the leftists who are gradually purging serious works from the shelves. Inquire how many books the Union County Library has by Christopher Dawson, Eric Vogelin or F.A. Hayek.
