Oh, I agree, American leftists support a myriad of single issue groups, not because they care about the issue or the people involved, but as a means to an end — their personal power.
Leftists support African-Americans and their causes, but they’re really, and obviously racists.
They support transsexuals, but secretly, and not so secretly, laugh at and deride them. As evidence, they frequently suggest that Ann Coulter is a transsexual, indicating that they believe that to be shameful.
And, on and on. Voters that support these opportunistic and disingenuous leftist politicians are amazing in their ignorance and naivete.
And there you have the fundamental difference between the left and the right on issues like gays and transexuals.
The left pretends to support their lifestyles, but really they despise them, as is evidenced by the Ann Coulter transsexual innendo, and their gleeful bashing of any Republican who turns out to be gay, just for being gay.
Meanwhile, the right disapproves of the gay lifestyle, but it does so in the open, and in a reasonable way, and most of us still have Christian love for them as our fellow men.
