Modesty is appropriate. Someone walking around with a copy of the public law is NOT just there for a meal. I would bet nothing she said about the meal is accurate either.

Appleby has marginal food, but there is nothing wrong with their behavior. Sorry, but other folks have rights too. That includes a meal without watching someone making a display of herself.

Do you carry around your driver's license, and/or a concealed carry permit?

You can always mind your own business. You don't have to focus and concentrate on other people eating. Why focus on a baby, can't you look around and find some guy drooling, not using their napkin to wipe crumbs off their chin, or something else?

I agree with your comments.

There was an agenda behind this woman's actions.

I have never been in an Applebee’s but do not like the idea of eating while a woman at the next table is breast feeding.

However, if it is absolutely necessary to breast feed at that time then a blanket over the shoulder should surface.

I guess there is always an excuse to do everything and throw discretion to the wind.

Having a copy of the laws concerning her behavior certainly has an odor of lawsuit.

I agree that modesty is appropriate. Let me know when Applebee's starts kicking out all women who are immodestly dressed, who wear plunging necklines that show more than any breastfeeding mother shows. I'm starting to think this isn't about modesty at all. It's about people not wanting to be reminded what breasts are really for.

Food aside (I’ve never eaten at an Applebee’s in my life so can’t comment), why are people ‘watching’ a woman who is facing the corner, in a booth, allowing her child to eat?

Frankly, it sounds to me as if the complaining customer would have to be making a fairly pronounced EFFORT to see enough to take offense. I’ve never seen a publicly breastfeeding mother who was showing enough to be considered immodest, and all of them were showing less than the average bikini-clad teenager.
