COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A Colorado Springs elementary school is banning the game of tag on its playground -- after some children complained that they'd been chased or harassed against their will.
Assistant Principal Cindy Fesgen of the Discovery Canyon Campus school said running games will be allowed, as long as students don't chase each other.
Fesgen said two parents complained to her about the ban, but most parents and children didn't object.
Two elementary schools in the nearby Falcon School District did away with tag and similar games in 2005 in favor of alternatives with less physical contact. Officials at Evans and Meridian Ranch elementaries say that encouraged more students to play games, and helped reduce playground squabbles.
Colorado Springs schools are not alone. Schools in Cheyenne, Wyo., Spokane, Wash., and Attleboro, Mass., have banned tag at recess. A suburban Charleston, S.C., school not only banned tagged, but outlawed all unsupervised contact sports.
It’s going to reach a point where even PC can’t RUN amok ...
good grief! what’s next?
oh i don’t even want to know...sigh!
The reason parents aren’t standing up against this is because some of them are brainwashed too. They don’t want to offend anyone and just go along with what the socialist schools tell them. They forget we vote for the school board members and pay the school taxes (in the case of public schools). This PC crap is going to kill us down the road.

I think these schools should be consistent. Why have sports programs when there are winners and losers, injuries, and mostly authoritarian men with whistles and such yelling at them.
They ban tag because parents complain, but won’t ban porn when parents complain.
Something is really wrong with this picture.
Friend, dodge ball as we know it, was done away with a long time ago.
Yeah, why just look at what the Dems did to Roberto Gonzalez. Chased, harassed endlessly by mean bullies against his will until he was forced to quit. And this was by the very same libs that want to stop all full-body contact sport on school grounds. I guess it's only permissible when you get to DC.
Proletariat Education
The workers will control the means of production.
"Hey now!!!"
Libs HATE childhood games like "smear the queer" but love Stalinist games like "smear the conservative".
Have you ever watched the movie “Heathers” with Wyona Ryder. Its a movie where the popular girls harass those less popular including each other.
Wyonna Ryder tells her mother she wants to be an adult because the kids treat each other so badly. The mother made a statement that adults aren’t that nice to each other also.
they ban kites.
“From what Ive read they ban kites because muzzies being muzzies they have turned a harmless past time into a bloodsport so the muzzie officials said no more.”
Sounds like tag.
Another couple of blasts from the past......
College in the 70’s- The Beer Hunter.....one person took a can of beer out of the plastic six-pack and shook it and reinserted it into the plastic six-pack holder. Then we took turns opening random cans against out heads. Hmmmm, on second thought, this is sick!
Growing up in the 50’s-60’s- Kick the Can.....tag at night where you hid and then when the ‘it’ person was hunting for you, you could run ‘home’ and kick the can (set up a plain old can at the base) and be safe until the next round.
Ahhhhh, I wish my son had had the benefit of growing up in a safer America. I always knew where he was.....previously we didn’t have to be home until the street lights came on.
I guess “Smear the Queer with the ball” is out, too.
