Given the amount of self-idenitified Republicans on freerepublic threads about Larry Craig who rant about homosexuals and yet display a curious, curious knowledge and fascination about their practices and pick up techniques and such, the Republicans could have a big closeted gay “problem.”
If that is the case (which it isn’t here) then perhaps Dems on other boards who talk about homosexuals, their issues and embrace them are coming out of the closet.
BTW, don’t engage in Ad Hominem attacks againt FR or posters here. Discuss the issues at hand.
The term I recall from years back was BIG TENT. I think maybe we conservatives have found ourselves at the circus and what we have elected are a bunch of clowns. The liberals are who they are and do not even blush at their activities. Here we conservatives have people like John McCain telling US that he will clean up dirty money with his own reelection protection racket. I personally, no matter how repulsive Craig's behavior was/is am not finding it more repulsive than the activities of so many others that wear a conservative mask. Note I did not say 'compassionate conservative'.
Yes Craig is a shame and embarrassment to conservatism not just for shoe or foot tapping or whatever the signal being used, but that he used the standard of conservatism to get himself in that restroom in the first place.

I make no apologies about being informed about the culture of the nation I live in, the bad stuff and the good stuff. I don’t have to hang out at gay bars or look at gay porn sites to learn generally about gay Americans. There are plenty of written reports all over the internet. I’m a Dad. It’s my responsibility to know about the crap my kids might come into contact with.
