grandmommy dearest
Leona Helmsley was rich even before she met Leon Helmsley. I have a sister who is a leech. She has no sense of honor or decency, and never, NEVER pays back what she borrows. (I’m rearing her son and he will be my heir). If Leona’s brother had made any effort to pay her back what he had borrowed...MAYBE she wouldn’t have been so hard on her brother’s children. We don’t know the specifics. But considering how hard it was for Leona to make it, I don’t hold it against her. And yes, I do like her dog.
I am so sorry to hear about how your parents mistreated your kindness. My situation, somewhat similiar, hasn’t ended yet.
Lucky dog beats lucky sperm every time. Ungrateful little whelps can earn it for themselves.
The dog was the only one that liked her. (Now you know why they are called dumb animals)
My mother started beating me when I was 4 years old; my father said he never noticed. When both of them in later years became ill and needed care, without hesitation I was here for them. My mother apologized for everything she’d ever done just 5 days before she died. I’m still caring for my father who is dying of Alzheimers; he can be abusive but at least he hasn’t tried to strangle me yet. So call me a dumb animal.
I prefer ‘child of God’.
Apples and oranges, but you did get to tell your story.
They say that by the time you're 50, you get the face you deserve.
If that story rings true, the Helmsleys were very unhappy people.
I’m sorry, but this woman was nothing more than a real-life version of Cruella de Ville.
Her story would make a helluva motion picture though. I remember growing up watching "Mommy Dearest." To this day I only use plastic or wooden hangers for my clothes.
