Now this post wins the “Silly Argument of the Day” award!

We can and indeed should judge every candidate by who he/she is ideologically aligned with.

Would you make this same argument to defend those aligned with Karl Marx? Or Hitler?

How funny!!! (in a sad sort of way)

This is your best defense? Just because Marxists rally behind Marx doesn’t make Marx a Marxist??? LOL

I’ve been following your posts and I must say, it scares the hell out of me that you have the right to vote...

Oh? So you're saying that because Klansmen mostly vote for Bush, Bush is a Klansman?

How sad!!! (in a funny sort of way) The truth is, there's a big difference between "Who votes for you" and "Who you are ideologically aligned with." Just because there are some libs who favor Paul in the primaries (mostly because they see him as unelectable) doesn't make Paul a liberal.

But all this hot-air debate could be rendered moot in ten minutes if the Republicans would only do one simple thing:

RUN A CANDIDATE WHO WILL PURSUE CONSERVATIVE GOALS.

Like limiting spending. Remember that? It used to be a conservative goal. Oh, and shrinking government. Heck, how about even stopping the growth of government? How about even slowing the growth of government?

These used to be things that Republicans cared about, along with federalism, individual rights, elimination of burdensome federal agencies, cutting taxes, advancing a constructionist reading of the constitution...and over the last eight years the GOP has held more power than at any time since McKinley was shot, and what do we have to show for it?

In terms of conservative goals, pretty much nothing. Thanks a lot, guys.
