That September 2001 rings a bell that makes me think it was important to tighten the border.. hmmm... I wonder what I am trying to remember happened... It must not have been that important if Paul didn't think we needed to increase border security to battle drugs and terrorism.

Border security? Hunter, Tancredo, and Paul are the only ones with their heads wired correctly. Bush's Shamnesty push and Congress' cutting of the budget for Jorge's promised fence are just two examples of the GOPs failure.

Congressmen Paul is not an open borders advocate. You can drop that lie from your list.
