I bike commute for now - 12.5 miles each way when I do it. Helps with cardiovascular health and my legs, but I’m still a weakling otherwise. ;-)

I am envious. Did that until we bought a house where cycle-commuting proved to be too dangerous & difficult. (Other parameters drove the decision.)

It’s not bad here...wide shoulder / bike lane / bike path the whole way. There’s one little spot where the bike lane ends and I have to ride across a bridge in traffic, but *most* of the time even that isn’t all that scary. I’m in my own little lane in my own little world, without people tailgating and all that. ;-)

It’s a good way to work exercise into my day, and we have a shower at work, so I just change when I get there. A lot less stressful than fighting traffic and sitting in stop-and-go twice a day, I gotta say! Olympia doesn’t have serious traffic in the same way that Seattle or other big cities do, but it’s still a pain.
