To: Monkey Face

Been there, done that.

When I first moved to Washington, Hairofthedog and Ecurbh (my neighbors and fellow FReepers) helped me put up a good fence both for security purposes and so I could have a dog. I had a lot of help, but I still got tired of digging post holes - ugh!

I know what you mean. That rocky hard ground in Pennsylvania had me ready to "go posthole."

Hi, Rosie! How have you been?

I helped dig a couple of post holes when I was 12, and I did it unaided. As hard as it was for me, I think it was equally hard on the bigger kids who were already in their teens.

It was (is) a farming community, so folks work hard for the money.
