I will check on that for you later.
Even makes me like him more, I’ve almost always had Camaros until my last car - Suburban and now downsized to a Malibu. :(
I now forget what years they were, but I had 3 of them....One was the black with gold special edition, one was that sparkly beige color and one was brown.

I likes his answer to the Chase question too. Games and food etc. I think he’s fed up with all the questions.

You have me beat with 3. I've only had two so far, a '75 and a '78.
The '78 was pretty: white with gold stipe on the hood and gold trim, but a piece of junk. Great for getting attention, though...mostly police attention...lost my license in that car. I still kick myself for selling the '75: dark maroon, totally sinister and scary fast. What a great car!
When I finish with the house stuff, I'm looking for a project car: '75-'77 Camaro or a '72-'73 Firebird...the car I should have had in high school instead of that 4 door Buick POS-car! lol

Im browsing the Internet and come across a disturbing bit of news
the IROC cars are up for sale.
—(Cont’d From Front Page)— The International Race of Champions is having a rough time this year. Basically
no sponsor, no races. And so the IROC series is sitting still, so still that the cars are now on sale, all dressed in white, ready for someone to dress them up with sponsors decals. Now how sad is that?

I loaned my then teen age son some cash to buy a 1967 Camero from a elderly gent in 1975. He brought the car in where my son was working to have a trailer hitch removed as he was trading it in. My son mentioned that he would buy the car if the dealer low balled him on the trade in.
The man came back mad as hell and said it’s yours for $600. It seems the salesman back in 67 had sold it to him because the man wanted lots of power and a manual transmission to tow a travel trailer. The Camero was a RS with a 396 and a four speed! It scared my son to death when he took it out on the hiway to “test it” and put it in the center divider when the brakes faded to nothing.
My son sold it for $1,800 and he found out later it was one of 800 made and was worth $3,000 at that time...

To have that car today! That’s the kind of machine you see the Barrett-Jackson car auction in Scottsdale going for close to $100k. I look around at some of the current cars and wonder which ones would be worth keeping around for a couple of decades. Not too many.

That wouldn't even get a bleep here, just normal summer time temps, but alas, we are stuck in rain mode.
Thankfully summer is over now and we are into our normal rainy season.
To: NormsRevenge
How many relief drivers are lined up today? I have the day off so I'm going to hit the yard sales where the current temp is 58 and blue skies.//

I was supposed to go to the beach tomorrow,, one last fling of the year , probably just vegetate at home, we’re 72 and climbing, maybe 90 today here.
Wife#1(and only one) is off with sis on a
Bingo run to Colusa today so I am off duty.

The crowd in the stands is gonna be FRied either way,, we are getting some humidity too up here,, but no rain,, which we could use all over.. we’re getting our dose of summer here, we’ve seen pretty mild weather locally so far this year.

I know what you are saying, but that just does not sound right, does it?
What do you mean? Tony driving a Toyota? Nothing wrong with it (I have an American-made Toyota truck sitting in my driveway, alongside an American-made Subaru), and at the rate we are going, Toyotas and some of the other "foreign" brands are going to be the only American-made cars left (I think the irony is incredible).
Like I said, I think JGR with Tony and some of the other drivers are going to push Toyota into the Winner's Circle.

They haven’t been in California THAT long have they?

Toyota? I love my Toyota! Supercharged 4WD Tacoma made in America (Fremont, California) for America! I was going to add “made by Americans” but Fremont, California’s fairly close to the border, so who knows?
