The gun industry is laughing all the way to bank, and poor saps, America's gun owners, are getting stuck with the bill.
Memo to gun owners: You're getting played for fools and the gun industry is stealing your money. Let us explain.
To protest Rev. Jesse Jackson's Rainbow PUSH rallies against illegal guns on August 28th -- the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s historic March on Washington -- gun zealots are urging gun owners to, drum roll please.........BUY MORE GUNS!
The Firearms Coalition, founded in 1984 by gun extremist Neal Knox, is holding a National Exercise Your Rights Day. The radical organization is calling on all gun nuts to buy a gun as well as counter-march and disrupt PUSH's illegal gun rallies.
We want to talk directly to the gun guys for just a second.
How do we begin? You gun guys are being lied to, pure and simple. Do you honestly think in your right minds buying another gun is going to do anything other than make the gun industry a little richer?
You see, the gun industry preys on your fear. And let's face it, there is always something to be afraid of isn't there? Burglars, minorities, the "government", the United Nations, or even better, Hillary Clinton. And rallies too, especially ones organized by a civil rights leader.
Anytime something scares you and challenges your worldview, such as nationwide rallies to end gun violence and illegal guns, you reach for a gun or you go buy another one because some radical pro-gun groups and the gun industry tell you to.
You're getting played my friends. This is no different than a car company saying "Go buy a SUV and we'll show them! We'll consume all the oil we need because we're the USA!"
My poor, scared gun owners, when will you realize that these ploys to "exercise your rights day" to buy another gun don't help you? Your 13th gun is not going to protect you anymore -- it simply means your son or daughter has an even greater statistical chance of finding your gun and accidentally shooting themselves or committing suicide. The gun industry never told you that did they?
And frankly, if we may offer some free advice: these calls to action -- to celebrate a great American, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s march on Washington -- by buying a gun make you look like radical ideologues. You embolden the creed that you are in fact "gun nuts."
For example, Jeff Knox of The Firearms Coalition said:
The idea that all violence is bad is simply incorrect. Violence is sometimes the only way to stop evil and brutality. When used in this way, violence is an agent of good." said Mrs. Knox. "Gunowners trust our fellow citizens and have no fear of them having the means to effectively engage in righteous violence when necessary.
Righteous violence? Do you have any clue how most people hear and understand your statements?
Come home my gun friends, come home.
Come home to sanity. Come home to self-respect, critical judgment, and common decency.
Come home to understanding that you as gun owners also live in communities and want your families to be safe, or don't you? Do you want "illegal guns" being trafficked in your hometowns? Instead of unifying around a campaign to make our streets safer you actually want to go out and purchase another gun to make some statement?
Since when did a campaign to stop illegal guns ever get in the way of you stockpiling your gun arsenal?
You know what? Gun manufacturers and marketers LOVE it when you gun guys do this stuff, and have these calls to action. The gun industry executives sit back and think:
"How did we ever get so lucky? When we've got a major public relations problem on our hands, our very own consumers are buying more of our stuff (guns) even though they don't need them! All because gun owners think they're making some kind of a political statement. Take that to the bank!"
Perhaps buying another gun will make you feel better, but don't fool yourself that all you're doing is giving the gun industry more money.
I don’t mind making the “gun industry” richer.
Car zealots and industry urge car owners to buy more automobiles and SUVs!
Yeah, yeah...Eeeevil KKKorporate AmeriKKKa is conspiring to relieve me of my wallet. When does the author graduate from high school?

That settles it. I’m buying that CZ P-01 tomorrow. That might not please the American companies that much, but I’ve given them their pound of flesh, and dammit the CZ is what I want.
It makes me feel better because I am giving the gun industry more money, actually. I also enjoyed upgrading my NRA membership to Life. I did it when your Hero B1tch was elected, years ago.
I like giving GOAL money, too. That made me feel better.
I look for excuses to give the gun industry more money. I love to give them more money.
Doesn't that just give you CRAMPS?
Bite Me.
To the author of this article. “Nuts!!!!”
I feel another gun purchase coming on!
A message screwed up gun-grabbing nuts should heed - for their own sake.

Well... Sure. But you get a gun in exchange for your money! What's wrong with that?!?

Ted Kennedy’s car has killed more people than my 30+ firearms. I buy firearms as often as I come across something I want to add to the stable and will continue to so far far into the future.
Note to the person who wouldn’t even put his name on this tripe:
YOU are why I own guns.
I’d rather have a new gun than a new car.
Gee, I think it's kind of nice of them to ask. I SO need a Bushmaster gas piston cosmetically impaired firearm!
So this is what it’s like to have someone pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining. Just as I thought, I don’t like it.
Heck, I’d rather have an OLD gun than most new cars...
