Since when should we be limited to one gun per person? There are more than enough viable targets to go around and it would save on reloading.
Does a tazer count?
Everyone needs at least a shotgun for home defense and a small handgun for road trips. And if you live in the country, you'll need a small caliber long gun for varmits. So your proposal would leave at least half of the population unarmed.
Actually, we need about 120 guns per 100 people.....
Backups, ya know......
not nearly enough. Let's see...1 rifle, one shot gun plus backups for each. One hand gun for carry in warm weather. One for cold. One for the woods. One for HD to get to shotgun. Back ups for each of those. That's a start.
I'm doing my best to fulfill my part of the obligation. All I need is some more moola that isn't spoken for for trivial items like food, medicine, housing, electricity, clothes, gas, taxes, etc, and I can singlehandedly raise the percentage to the next level.
For some strange reason my wife thinks 8.5 guns for each member of the household is enough, I think it's just a good start.
You seem to be an underachiever. I feel the correct ratio for the US should be in the range of 150-200 guns per 100 people.
“Come on people we need 100 guns for every 100 people. We all need to go out and buy, buy, buy until we can achieve 100 out of 100!”
Doing my part!!!!
*smile
Dont’ worry. I can neither confirm nor deny, but strongly “suspect” that there are enough with an overage of weapons and ammo to supply those responsible for this ratio being less than 1:1. (wink, wink...nudge, nudge :-)
I was thinking the same thing, gonna have to change my xmas shopping list now.
So I guess I should go out and get mine...
