Questions for Democrats

Discussing your criteria for your nominations to the Supreme Court, all of you said you would not consider anyone who did not pledge to uphold Roe v. Wade. This "litmus test" means that all other possibilities, no matter how distinguished their records on constitutional issues, would be ignored.

I ask all the Democratic candidates: Do you have any other "litmus tests" for the high court? On nominees' views on homosexual marriage? Federal taxpayers' funds for "good works" by religious organizations? How high should the "wall" between church and state be?

At the Planned Parenthood meeting, Mr. Obama proposed an "updated social contract" for women, including paid maternity leave and greater access to "reproductive-health-services." According to the July 18 Chicago Tribune, "an Obama spokesman said that included abortions."

These are very good questions for Democrats regarding the judges they appoint.

If a Democrat is elected in ‘08, the liberal judges appointed by that person will approve of homosexual marriage, uphold Roe Vs. Wade, and perhaps get into other areas, such as supervising elections, or welcoming lawsuits to overturn elections, and declaring gov’t provided health care a civil right.

I think determined Republicans in Congress can fight a President Hillary in many areas, but she will appoint liberal judges to enact their liberal agenda. We see how they operate, they treat judges as a super-legislature to interpret laws to get the results they can’t get through legislation.
