I remember, 20 or so years ago, the office manager bragging about how she had purchased all of Fonda’s videos. When I reminded her that, just like Leni Reifenstahl’s efforts on behalf of the Nazis, Miss Fonda had gotten a lot of Americans and Vietnamese killed, she responded wiht a “tuh”. Serves her right if she now has arthritis; the wheel does have a habit of turning, doesn’t it?

Arguably what Fonda did was worse then Leni Reifenstahl. The latter made her film about the Nazis in 1934 before they had been at war with anyone and before the 1935 Nuremburg Laws that started the wave of anti-semitism in Germany. And of course Leni was a German citizen working in hir own country for what was then a newly elected goverment. Jane Fonda was an American citizen going to the enemy in a time of war.
