Poster's note: For background, go read this link where ANSWER whines about being fined $10,000 for posting posters in DC promoting their "protest" on September 15th: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1881090/posts
Then ANSWER filed a lawsuit against the government. More at this link: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1884483/posts
And now, for the latest in this barkinng moonbats soap opera, here's part of an email I received today [snort]:
Today, one week after it filed a free speech lawsuit, the ANSWER Coalition today received a second round of fines for another $10,350 for posters promoting the September 15 March on Washington to End the War on Iraq. In the last two weeks, the ANSWER Coalition has been fined a total of $21,000. There is an effort underway by several branches of the government to disrupt the organizing for the September 15 march, which will be led by Iraq war veterans and their families.
Two weeks ago, in the face of the first round of fines, thousands of people called or sent emails to DC government officials insisting that the fines be rescinded. On Monday, August 20, constitutional rights attorneys from the Partnership for Civil Justice filed a major lawsuit against the government challenging anti-postering regulations that have been used to fine the ANSWER Coalition.
Now, we believe the most important thing is to focus on building the demonstration itself. We believe that we can prevail with the combined force of our legal challenge and political support. But the best way of thwarting the governments effort to disrupt the organizing for the September 15 Mass March is to build that march so that it reaches its full potential.
The last thing the Bush administration wants to see is people from all over the United States joining together in the streets of Washington DC led by Iraq war veterans and the family members of soldiers and marines, in combination with the Arab American and Muslim community, demanding the immediate end of the criminal war and occupation in Iraq.

What? No sound effects?
{crunch, crunch} LOL!
If you see one of ANSWER's posters glued (with wheat paste, according to them) to any light boxes along your commute route, near your office, or near your home, please do your civic duty.
Help out DC public works folks and help Mayor Fenty keep his budget... bring a scraper with you and scrape that offending poster off the DC property on which it is glued.
If the scraper doesn't work, I suppose you could exercise your first amendment rights to disagree with the message... and paint over it. A couple of swipes with a broad foam brush dipped in black paint oughta do it.
Freep on!
$oro$ ha$ plenty of ca$h to pay their fine$ !
Bump! Great ideas.
Soros can find that rummaging around in his seat cushions.
Soros, lol.
No matter whether you spell his name forwards or backwards it gives you the same meaning.
i.e., ‘DUMB ASS’ (thank you Red Foreman!)
The “Partnership for Civil Justice” sounds like an old commie front ( Nee: progressive )organization to me.. But I am just voicing my 1st Amendment Rights.............
Let Fenty scrape his own damn posters. That weenie is going to pose with Je$$e Jack$on in front of Realco guns today, so my civic duty, as I see it, is to not have anything to do with that gun-grabber.
I was in DC earlier this month for a funeral and internment in Arlington. I drove through downtown on the way back just to check for changes since I was last there 30 years ago. Those signs were literally everywhere.
I also discovered that Sir Arthur Ritis didnt like setting on my butt for 3 1/2 hours each way for the drive. Sure wish I could afford to break my lease and move closer.
This will start to cut into some liberal’s political campaign, even with that clean campaign finance reformed system. They will have to pass a lot of plates to make this up at their upcoming demo.
Seeing muslim mothers pushing babies in strollers walking the streets in Washington DC protesting American policies makes me ill. Seeing the photo of an ANSWER poster pasted to an electrical box outside a gate of Walter Reed Army Medical Center gave me an even worse feeling of nausea.
On the other hand, removing or painting over the signs will PO the lefties immeasureably.
Oh, never mind. I shouldn't have to explain everything.
One person cannot do all that needs to be done.

Have they paid a nickel yet? The only way DC’s going to get that money is if they confiscate the donation buckets.
Glad to hear that the signs are gone, and that the photo is secure in cyberspace — to be posted whenever a reminder is needed of the nastiness of these people.
I hadn’t heard! Another $10,000! Good deal! Glad they got it socked to ‘em! I had suggested that some of your folks clean up the neighborhood. I don’t know if that is good or not because maybe they will keep penalizing them. On-the-other hand, every day the posters stay up is one more day of publicity.
