I am sure there are still spies in every level of our government....
One of the reasons the Dems dont like the Patriot Act.

No, not a firing squad. Too “honorable” a way to go. The gallows are more appropriate for the civilian traitor.

...a number of people in her life questioned the government's employment of Ana Montes at all, given her views toward US government policy, and that a number of colleagues in the intelligence community expressed not surprise at her arrest but some sense of vindication of their own feelings and views about Ana Montes prior to the arrest ('I knew it! I told you so! I'm not surprised!)That's exactly what I feel when I see almost any Liberal in government nowadays.

Two things that come to my mind.... Gorelick the madam Clinton wallbuilder, (yes I know this gal predates the Clintons), and Bolton mentioning something about a Cuban spy at his inquisition for UN appointment.

The one thing which really bothers me about this whole affair is how easily her clear dislike of America was dismissed when she was early in her career (and apparently is still dismissed).
Anyone who is employed in a top secret capacity and is sympathetic to Communist Governments should automatically be under strong suspicion.
The Cuban government certainly knew what her opinions meant and was quick to use them to their advantage. They didn’t assume she was a good American, they went after her based on what was obvious.

I think this traitor sold our secrets. If she doesn't die in prison she'll head for Cuba once released. There is probably millions of US dollars in a Cuban Bank in her name.
The five year probation is a joke.
I agree with others here, justice at the end of a rope.

I dont understand why she was allowed a plea deal with such a trivial sentence relative to the grave unknown damage thatll hurt US for years. Well, Bill wasn't even removed from office, and he did the same thing with the Chinese.
