Sarajevo, 27 August (AKI) – Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik has warned that Bosnia-Herzegovina could be dissolved if Muslim leaders do not stop attacking Serb entity Republika Srpska (RS) and demanding its abolition.
“RS must be respected and we will respect others as much as they respect us,” Dodik said on Monday.
The controversial RS prime minister said he wasn’t afraid of threats by the high representative of the international community in Bosnia, Miroslav Lajcak, to sanction him for his statements which allegedly undermine the country’s constitutional system and the Dayton peace accord.
"Bosnia-Herzegovina is a Dayton construction, based on an agreement which I respect, but whether it will last, or how long, doesn’t depend on me but on many others,” he said. “I don’t want to go to Sarajevo in a manner which would be humiliating for RS.
"If someone wants to talk to us, it must be based on partnership relations,” he added.
Under the Dayton peace accord, Bosnia was divided into two entities, RS and a Muslim Croat federation, but the international community which safeguards peace in Bosnia has stripped entities of most state powers for the sake of strengthening the central government.

Ping!
We want to secede from Yugoslavia and we want our own independent state.
However - anyone who wants to secede from us and form their own independent state are wrong and illegal and must be stopped...
So Serbia could lose Kosovo, and gain the Serbian territories in Bosnia? Then what was all the fighting for?!?
Oh, no...
Serbia yan loose Kosovo, but Serb Republick cant succeede from Muslim Bosnia.
That is official stance of US govt.
Maybe some kind of a territorial compromise could be worked out between the Serbs Croats and Muslims in the south central area west of Jajce, in order to establish a contiguous corridor between Muslim east and west enclaves to make it a lanclocked, but viable territory.
we all know, the Hercegovina's Croats want to be in Croatia (as they were during Macek Banovina in the late 1930's), and that all the Serbs in Bosnia want to be part of Serbia. The only ones who have nothing to gain are the Muslims.
How about a democratic vote? It was used by the Muslims and Croats to proclaim independence of Bosnia, why not use it to break the darn creature? Serbs and croats have to get together and vote Bosnia extinct.
Serbian issues
Eastern Hercegovina is completely cut off from Serbian-held Eastern Bosnia and therefore Serbia due to the Gorazde pocket, a salient that the Muslims won't give up.
The Serbs of Drvar have a strong lobby in Banja Luka and any effort to give some land between Jajce and Kljuc would derail Dodik's government.
Croatian Issues
The Croatians of Posavina (area between Brcko and Derventa) are quite strong politically and demand the return of some counties in which they formed a majority like Bosanski Brod, Bosanski Samac, and parts of Modrica and Derventa. However, this would affect the corridor between Banja Luka and Eastern Bosnia for the Serbs.
The Croatians of Central Bosnia would be isolated in tiny islets like Vitez, Kiseljak, and Kresevo...all places that they defended fiercely against the Muslims.
Muslim Issues
The main issue being a link up between Bihac and Central Bosnia.
The second issue being access to the Adriatic which would cut thru clean Croatian territory down in Neum.
Biggest Stumbling Block
Brcko - it is outside of both federal units and is located where the Serbian corridor is thinnest.
Bosnia should be split between Serbia and Croatia. Let the people vote by district which way the they want to go. Then adjust, if necessary, to create contiguous areas with Croatia and Serbia.
