I do have to come to his defense...

Oh God...

The French did play a role in training, supply and they did use some of their ships, mainly to piss off the British. They even landed a few brigades under Count Rochambeau. It would have been a tougher fight without them, maybe a loser.

That being said, that was France circa 1770s...

And Ron Paul supporters are still a hoot...
