BMI doesn’t account well for muscle. Well muscled people can weigh more for their height than normal. This will give them a higher BMI.

I do believe our military personnel have more muscle than average americans. I don’t trust the numbers used in this article.

I don’t trust the numbers in the article either - however they are the new fact....my husband is 5’ 10” 185/lbs same as when he fought in Vietnam years ago - talkin’ late 60’s here- can still fit in his uniform- no fat at all- and he’s overweight according to the newer stats- overweight is contrived in many cases.
