"AMANPOUR: But Ron, that’s what the Taliban said. They kept women in their house because men couldn’t be trusted around them."

Disgusting. Never could I have imagined CNN would stoop so low as this.

Yep, she tried her best to appear unbiased, but Christiane Amanpour’s anti-Semitism and anti-Christian bias were quite apparent the whole time. The root of all the middle east problems were Jewish settlements if you believe the story. The fact the Arabs want to push the Jews into the sea plays no role. In her warped view, Arabs would love a peaceful co-existence if only the Jews abandoned their settlements is so-called occupied territories. And of course she had fellow anti-Semite Jimmy Carter to back her up.

One of these days, CNN will have to dispense with the ominous music it uses for Christian documentaries and go for the full effect, using the Jaws soundtrack.

Naw, the screeching violins from "Psycho"...

I saw this on CNN and actually, I was quite surprised at how fair CNN was. They portrayed the anti-Christian left and the abortion supporters as mean, savage animals, although yes, the Taliban comment showed that CNN still needs to get their jabs in when they can.

Overall, it was a great story, but Christian groups like these indeed need to be more vocal and outspoken.

If the world hates you, realize that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you.

I refuse to view anything that has Christiane ‘I am a poor’ Iranian Muslim, as the talking head.

The Information Age has brought an unprecedented sophistication to vast numbers of people, and the sophistication is increasing. One result is an increasing sophistication in appraising the reliability and intelligence of people.

Christiane Amanpour's is a mediocre intelligence.

She is no Thucydides.

She is a hack trying to sound like Thucydides.

Unfortunately, she's not intelligent enough to understand this (or to be embarrassed). Neither are the hacks who run CNN.

AMANPOUR: But Ron, that’s what the Taliban said. They kept women in their house because men couldn’t be trusted around them.

Dear Editor:

I fought in Afghanistan as a Special Forces Team Commander. I am also what you would perceive as a “wacky-right-wing-conservative-religious-Chrsitian--person”

So here are the differences between myself and the Taliban.

The Taliban allowed no freedom of expression, no rights for women, no freedom of religion and destroyed anything and everyone that did not abide by their version of Islam. They destroyed the famous Buddhist statues of Bamiyan because the felt they were un-Islamic graven images. The wiped out entire peoples and villages (such as the Hazara) because they were not Islamic enough. They would think nothing of executing an entire village if one family converted to Christianity. They cut the ears, eyes, tongues and noses off people for “infractions against Islam.” They turned schools into horse stables. They planted bombs and mines in children’s play fields. They torched newly built girls schools. They stoned women to death who had been raped for “adultery.” They allowed the training of terrorist groups to export their version of Islam to the world. They looked at the world as two spheres – One that has been conquered by Islam and one that will be conquered by Islam through war. They would think nothing of raping your wife and children and making you a slave or corpse. It is what you and your family, or any non-Islamic person, deserves for being an infidel. They would not allow women (and girls) to go to school, have a job or even leave their home (unless accompanied by a male relative). The Taliban ruled by fear and intimidation. They remind me of the Nazis and Communists.

What do the so called religious conservatives in this country want? Here is the super secret list: Economic Opportunity and Personal Liberty.

Things like: Taxes we can afford; A reverence for the US Constitution as the Founding Fathers wrote it; An appreciation for the values and traditions that made this country the finest in the history of the world; A respect for all opinion, not just what is the PC flavor of the month; An understanding that people should “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character;” And respect for life (no matter how vulnerable or powerless).

The differences are slight, but there they are. I hope this clears up any misunderstandings.

De Oppresso Libre,

Either that, Old Sarge, or the Darth Vader theme from the star wars movies.

Google “Imperial March” to get a sound clip of what I am referring to.

I thought of that, but Rush has that as the “Evil Empire” lead-in tune...

She missed one of the best Amanpourisms. At the end, when a teen overwhelmed by a revival meeting, in tears and singing softly is walking down a hall, Amanpour reacts. Her demeanor is all OMG! She comments to the viewer to the effect that she is disturbed by a young lady seemingly in a trance. She confronts the teen. The teen responds about being so filled up with God and His Spirit that she is singing to the Lord. Amanpour struts as if she proved her point and things close out from there.

Good for her, but there are a lot of liberal American Jews who are not pro-Israel. Perhaps anti-Semetic was the wrong term, but she is definitely anti-Israel.

Now you’ve got it exactly right. Her husband worked in the Clinton Administration. They are both a couple of libs, bigtime.

Toobin’s legal incompetence knows no bounds.

A first year lawyer has FORGOTTEN more legal knowledge than Toubin EVER had.

It is unfathomable how he has kept his job with all the mistakes and misinterpritation of law he keeps spewing. In the day, he would be the “one not there at the end of the year” in law school.

Christiane Amanpour is lost and needs to have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23, 10:9-10).
