"Real Purpose Behind LOST

Even worse, LOST gives the ISA the power to levy international taxes. We are not fooled by LOST's attempt to conceal this by labeling the taxes assessments, fees, permits, payments or contributions.

The real purpose of the taxing power is to compel the United States to pay billions of private-enterprise dollars to the ISA bureaucrats, who can then transfer our wealth to Socialist, anti-American nations (euphemistically called "developing countries") ruled by corrupt dictators. LOST piously asserts that this is for "the benefit of mankind as a whole."

Bush is compiling quite a "legacy" -- the President who intentionally pissed away the national sovereignty of the United States. Of coures, he may be right--perhaps America would be better off under the dominion of the U.N. and it's cast of third world thugs, terrorists and thieves.

Bush almost makes you long for the days when Clinton just took money from the Red Chinese (while also selling out the country) to win reelection, doesn’t it?

Quite a legacy, indeed.

As to the topic of the thread, if illegals committing so many crimes — rape, robbery, murder, etc — isn’t terroristic, then I want to know the definition of ‘terror’ that this administration is using.

Regarding LOST … Reagan was vehemently opposed to the U.S. having anything to do with the treaty, and he put great pressure on our (then) allies in Europe to do the same, with great success.

What a difference twenty-five years can make, in the character of the American president, and the composition/backbone of the nations of Europe.

Not only is the assessment of ‘international taxes’ one of the clouds that will hang over the treaty, but it would result in the transfer of huge amounts of natural resources from the U.S. to lesser developed countries, with those resource cartels managed by none other than the U.N.

Although we have not yet formally ratified the treaty, the Chinese have already successfully jumped the gun in taking advantage of its provisions by obtaining advanced sonar technology from American companies, under LOST’s technology transfer stipulations. And that sad fact will prove to be just the tip of the iceberg.

Is anyone surprised that the Bush administration is in favor of this treaty? America will lose significant sea-going rights. Our ability to explore the seabed for new mining sites will be stifled. And our national sovereignty will receive another major blow.

Is there anything contained in the above considerations that the Bush administration would find offensive? Certainly not! Mr. Bush has repeatedly demonstrated that his vision of a new world order far outweighs his duty to ensure the safety of our people and the preservation of our national sovereignty.

As for the Mexican truck program, I have also read recently that it is also being proposed that the Mexican truckers may not need to abide by the same transportation taxation, drive-hour limits, or weight limits, as do American truckers. If the proposals that were put forth under the recent ‘Comprehensive Immigration Reform’ (*cough*) package can be seen as a precedent, it isn’t a huge leap to believing that Mexican truckers will indeed be granted special privileges, over their American counterparts, under this new plan.

The safety and welfare of the American citizenry is falling ever lower on our national leadership’s list of political priorities. Surely we have experienced corruption, and self-serving or agenda-driven policymaking, on the federal level before. But never to this degree. And never by as many people in power who hold both our proud national heritage and our Constitution in utter disdain.

When the promise of increased political power, economic/financial pressures from special interest groups, and the realization of left-leaning, globally-oriented political agendas take precedence over the sovereignty of our republic, the safety of its people, and the lives of those precious patriots who have volunteered to defend it, it’s time for the whisper of revolution.
