Just sit back America and do nothing, it will soon be at your back door if it isn’t already. GET OUT AND VOTE, TURN THE TIDE.
Voting is not enough. Contributing to and working on campaigns multiplies your vote many times, as we've discovered over the past two decades on involvement.
And not all candidates/politicians are crooked or dishonest, as I have learned from my time spent on campaigns and working on our issues with those elected. Yes, I've worked on the campaigns of some who've disappointed me -- but even there their opponents would have been far worse. (Even the one who turned out to be far more than a disappointment, well, his Dem successor is bad news.)
If just 10% of the FReepers in my area turned out to work on campaigns (and I don't mean relentless dedicate every evening and weekend turnout, but the occasional Saturday envelope-stuff or literature drop and election-time sign-waving), we'd swamp the libs and even the Seattle metro area might become red-state. I know many of the regular local volunteers and they're not FReepers (they may be actively online elsewhere, I do not know).
But I've heard the arguments from the do-nothings, even here on FR. They want to be FReedom's FReeloaders, letting others do all the work while they reap the benefits.
We will all pay the price for their selfishness. The country I was raised in and once loved is already no longer recognizable because too many have done, and continue to do, nothing. Take a look at They Thought They Were Free to see your future.
