Oh,I ask myself why bother to respond. Why? Can you answer?

Do you give a damn about freedom or are you bought and paid for somehow? Do you work in a paid position for a political campaign? Hmmm?

Beyond road repair, other infrastructure and defense,do you get get taxpayer funded benefits in some way? I don’t consider socialized public education a “benefit”,but if you do be honest about it. Be transparent, tell the truth, are you related to whoever you support politically? Are you a socialist or communist?

So,what’s the source of your dissent? What has caused you to make such damning, ill considered statements?

Yeah, like you would tell me and the others here the truth....

What if voting for Ron Paul in the primaries ends up delivering a primary victory to Rudy Giuliani?

I feel that would be a horror show, but I will not give in to the fear, and will vote for Dr. Ron Paul,Statesman,Airforce Flight Surgeon,Defender of the unborn and Constitutionalist.

He might not be perfect but I feel with all of my being that he is the best of the candidates.

I really don’t see how voting for him would give up the primary to gun grabber, dress wearing, cintra representing, possibly (who knows) abortion approving, fee raising, you name it ickyness Guiliani.

To: Captain Kirk

Why would I write to Kucinich supporters? Actually, during that History channel show on debunking 9/11 conspiracies, I don’t recall a Kucinich supporter’s sign being visible. It was a Ron Paul sign that was visible. Now, that doesn’t mean there weren’t Kucinich supporters, but the Ron Paul supporter was evident. It could have been a concidence, a Ron Paul supporter present at a “9/11 was an inside job” rally.

Those were my “facts”. I’ll admit the sentence about Ron Paul’s next speech was a little swipe at him. I’ll take it back. But, Captain Kirk, since I’m not a Ron Paul supporter or a believer in 9/11 being an inside job, why would a supporter of one be a believer of the other? Is there an official response on this?

What did Lincoln do? What did Roosevelt do? What did Truman do? We’ve been at war before, you know.

Let me explain this to you again, in terms even you can understand. Ron Leary is not attracting these people because of his snappy haircut or his phenomenal brown trousers. IT’S HIS MESSAGE!!!!! To say that he can’t help who supports him is a lie(or just plain stupid). He is attracting these people for a reason. And you are lumped in with them. How does it feel to be part of the Truther, Stormfront, Moveon gang?

If you can't even see how this could happen, then I'd suggest you sit back and ponder the potential outcomes. If 5-6% of voters in each state make "statement votes" by voting for Ron Paul, that could siphon off enough votes from Fred Thompson or whoever else might be an "acceptably conservative" candidate that Rudy ends up winning the delegates from that state. If that happens in enough states, well, then we end up with a pro-abortion, pro-gay, anti-gun guy whose credentials on the WOT are being called into question already.

Saying you don't see how this could happen is ignoring the history of Ross Perot.

To: Grunthor; Extremely Extreme Extremist

Grunthor, you are absolutely correct. The result of either a Kucinich or a RP Presidency, on the Iraq War, would be the same.

Paul said in the most recent debate, “JUST BRING THEM HOME”. His very simple Iraq policy. “JUST BRING THEM HOME”. He has also said what happened after we fled Vietnam and even cut off money to the government of South Vietnam wasn’t so bad. Didn’t turn out too badly, is what he said.

No, just bazillions of refugee boat people, thousands drowning at sea, and concentration camps (oh, pardon me, re-education camps) and the killing fields of Cambodia and the virtual end of the Hmong tribe in Laos who made the mistake of supporting America against the Communist thugs.

So any and all types of horrific outcomes in Iraq and the ME is fine with Ron Paul.

A CA Guy said, “Here in CA we have McClintock who has a good conservative resume, but he just isn’t electable.”

Have you heard this interview where McClintock interviewed Ron Paul? It is well worth a listen.

Why would a Reagan Democrat vote for the jellyfish foreign policy of Ron Paul?

Reagan had a robust foreign and defense policy, which gave the Reagan Democrats a great alternative to the weak sister Democrat establishment. Reagan bombed Khadafi in Libya and Reagan even invaded Grenada of all places and gave his reason as being to rescue American students trapped there.

Give me a break.

GW & OP, I’m not siding with this at all. I just want a straight up answer about whether or not either of YOU know of any organizing for Ron Paul that is officially or unofficially being conducted by Moveon.org?

Obviously, I cannot possibly speak for the hundreds (if not thousands) of Ron Paul Meet-Up.Com Groups currently in operation nationwide.

I can only speak on behalf of the Central Oklahoma Ron Paul Meet-Up group, of which I am the elected Secretary, and the OU Sooners Ron Paul Meet-Up Group which we hope shortly to put into operation (for south-central Oklahoma and the OU campus).

I can absolutely confirm that there is no formal arrangement of any sort between the Central Oklahoma Ron Paul Meet-Up Group and "MoveOn.Org". Good grief -- we open our meetings with Prayers, conducted in the Name of Jesus Christ: as far as I know, we are the only Republican grass-roots campaign which similarly prefaces its political engagements. We certainly have no interest in answering to the beck and call of a bunch of Pagan Pro-aborts like "Move.On".

It is true that there are some Leftists in our Group -- perhaps 10-20% of the whole (plus another 20-30% disillusioned Independent Conservatives, i.e., formerly-apolitical home-schoolers and the like, with a solid core of about 50-60% "Old Right" small-government Republicans)... but even the few Leftists we have on "our team" are not what I would call Marxist Leftists, certainly not "MoveOn.Org" type Leftists.

They're more the sort of "Anarchist Leftists" who are against both Wars and Waterboardings, against Domestic Spying and National ID Cards, send a few dollars every year to Habitat for Humanity and Amnesty International, and basically just want to be left alone to work their minimum-wage jobs, smoke their marijuana, and stock their ammunition collections in their basement apartments (you actually might be surpised at how many Republican-hating Leftists are also fierce Second-Amendment Gun Nuts. They don't all want Hillary to run their lives for them, believe it or not).

And, to the extent of eliminating the 80-90% of Federal Government Spending which is UnConstitutional, I have to admit that I agree with the Leftist-Anarchists. We can argue about the 10-20% of the Federal Government which IS authorized by the Constitution when we get to that point; for now, the time has come for radical surgery.

But are we operating in co-operation with "MoveOn.Org"? Not one bloody iota. I haven't seen one dollar from George Soros yet, that skinflint bastard. And neither have any of us -- we few, we happy few, we band of brothers.

At the end of the day, about the ONLY thing that the Leftists and the Rightists of the Ron Paul Campaign can agree on is this: We all want a LOT LESS Federal Governance. Other than that, it's like herding cats! (Believe me, I know).

The idea that we could work together with "MoveOn.Org", even if we wanted to, for even one second... is downright funny. There is one cement holding this entire movement together, and that's the person of Dr. Ron Paul himself. He's Pro-Life, Pro-Gun Rights, Pro-Borders, Pro-Property Rights, and pretty much wants everything else to be decided on the State or Individual Level.

That is the only Glue which is holding the Right and Left together in the Ron Paul Coalition. "MoveOn.Org" doesn't have a chance of managing us -- sheesh, we can barely even manage ourselves.

Best Regards,

OP
Secretary
Central Oklahoma Ron Paul Meet-Up.Com

Answer to charges of meeting with "MoveOn" -- see my #675.

Perhaps the Purge has begun; but nonetheless, I will give my Answer.

You might want to look for posts on this thread by Karsten5, a new member here at FR. He is the RP supporter named at the beginning of the article who is invading the upcoming MoveOn anti-war protest. Judging by his posts here, Karsten seems to be a classic small-government small-l libertarian conservative.

Your answer is roughly the same as GWB’s, and is as I suspected.

If there are any RP supporters with MoveOn ties, then they are aberrations and, by no means, representative of any RP support group.

Thanks for responding.

"Karsten5" is certainly welcome on our Free Republic Ron Paul Ping List (now approaching 200 subscribers? Or more? I've lost count...) immediately upon his request. Say the word, Karsten, and you're in the Club.

But I'm not going to hunt the poor boy down, George. I'm already overdue for forming-up the South-Central Oklahoma OU-Sooners Ron Paul Meet-Up; I've got work to do, my dunking-credobaptist brother!

Karsten5 can request admission to the FR Ron Paul Ping List same as all the rest, God bless 'im. You already know that I'm getting so many submissions by FreepMail that you and I must correspond at least once a week, just to keep pace with the new additions. Karsten is certainly welcome upon his request.

best, OP

Jim Henson should have stopped making Muppets when he finished “ The Cookie Monster “-I think he went a little too far when he made Ron Paul.
