“I’ll never understand why people such as yourself just pontificate wildly ...”
Perhaps you’ve found something I missed - has anyone said they received any fire from House #2 - the Knock and Shoot ? Got Link ?
Since they had already been ambushed and were being fired upon to do anything less then fight back would have been suicidal.
Youre not looking at the details are you ? Wuterich, in his FIRST combat experience, says he BELIEVED he was being fired upon. He dosent say anyone WAS being fired upon.
I dont believe that anyone so far has testified that they were fired upon.
The Marines were under fire and there is testimony that they were under fire. I wasn't talking about a specific location.
The fire that could be identified (it was coming from multiple locations as you'd expect) came from house 1.
The shooter(s) in house 1 ran to house 2. That is why it was treated as hostile. Insurgents keep moving. What is your point?
PS. You’re judging the actions of Marines based on MSM reporting. That’s a big mistake and is leading you down the Murtha road of prejudging their guilt.
bump
You do realize that those of us intensely following this case are actually reading the transcripts of the hearings instead of the drivel for the masses from Al Rueters or The Washington Post.
I just got done watching the Anvil of God on CNN, and quite frankly You should have, it would have perhaps given you a whole different take on The Rules of Engagement and how our Marines carry themselves in battle. It was astonishing that CNN finally showed it.
“The shooter(s) in house 1 ran to house 2.”
According to the link I posted, noone saw this - it was just ASSUMED that they had left, since the door was ajar and they didn’t find any insurgents amongst the dead bodies they left in house 1, they ASSUMED someone ran out and just must have gone into house 2.
... where they proceeded to kill everyone and still didn’t locate any insurgents.
“PS. Youre judging the actions of Marines based on MSM reporting. “
It appears that when you use the testimony of other Maries that were there you also get excuses like “ he was threatened with deportation “ to ignore his testimony.
Would you agree that IF no insurgent were seen to enter house 2, and IF no fire was coming from house 2, that an order to knock on the door and kill anyone who answers it might be unlawfull ?
I have no doubt the overwhelming majority of Marines do us proud in battle, but to believe EVERY last single one of them is without sin is naive and foolish.
I dare say that anyone who says they have never met a Marine who seemed to be a bit “off”, a bit too “gung ho” is not being truthfull.
"Someone should be held accountable for the 24 civilian deaths in Haditha."
Why is it that we cannot hold accountable those Insurgents that attacked our Marines for these deaths?
Some where else in Iraq on that day 24 people went about their lives peacefully while Marines moved through their neighborhood because insurgents didn't use their homes to wage war on Marines.
“Why is it that we cannot hold accountable those Insurgents that attacked our Marines for these deaths?”
But you have to blame the ones from the bomb that went off a week before -
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/military/20070831-1343-bn31haditha.html
CAMP PENDLETON About a week before his squad went on a shooting spree in Haditha, Iraq, Marine Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich said his men should kill everyone in sight if they were ever attacked by a roadside bomb, a member of the unit testified Friday.
Sgt. Sanick Dela Cruz said Wuterich made the statement during some down time. Hours earlier, an improvised explosive device had injured a Marine from the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment.”
But you have to blame the ones from the bomb that went off a week before -
Did not Insurgents set off that bomb as well?
Here is what I think happened based upon the drone footage CNN has released
You can join that thread if you wish or continue to snipe at me from this one
In the later case I will have no choice but to put you on manual ignore.
How can I refuse such a gracious invitation, and you are well within your rights to ignore logic and any testimony you don’t agree with at any time.
“Did not Insurgents set off that bomb as well?”
Yep ... Guess that gave him the right to kill everyone without even having the second bomb go off, correct ?
and you are well within your rights to ignore logic and any testimony you dont agree with at any time.
I'm well within my rights to ignore someone that is obliviously trolling on a thread started by a family member of one of the accused for support.
They’re all a bit “off” and they’re all a bit too “gung ho”. Is that youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu jack?
How many drugs DID you take?
He is on trial because two insurgents in Iraq were working with one at the NY Times.
