Frankly, I think Vick is right: violence has become part and parcel of the dark underbelly of black culture. As has repugnant vulgarity. And it’s up to the good, decent members of the black community to put a halt to it. White folks can’t; they won’t let us (as one prominent black Baltimore lawyer told me in a TV debate). So, let’s see if decent blacks will now rise to the challenge as the dark underbelly becomes increasingly exposed.
And, oh, by the way, for the race baiters who will respond to this post by sneering, “Well what about white violence and vulgarity?” ... Yeah, I’m against that, too, and I do fight it every day in every way. But, read the works of James Quick, and you’ll see how deep the problem runs — largely unaddressed — in black culture. Hence Vick’s braggadocio.

The decent folks in the black community have done SQUAT do address the 75% out-of-wedlock births in their community.
The black ministers won't TOUCH that subject.
Until they and the other decent folks DO address that BASIC problem, the violence will continue. It (drugs, welfare, unemployment too) is all part of the devastation of fatherless families in which their own young men grow up.

Could it be, that the investigation of Vick, led to the raid on DMXs’ house? They wern’t all Vicks dogs in the pit. We are likely to see further arrests.
Pit bulls are wonderful pets, showing admirable loyalty and steady temperment.
A horrible shame on their owners that pit bulls get used abused and misused.
