"The PC worldview which is being espoused is that communists were/are 'idealists' out to improve the lot of the common man."

Well said, and Mencken would agree: "The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule."

...quite possibly Muslim religion will be the biggest killer of the 21st century...

Only if we allow it.

If we persistently eliminate the extremists and neutralize their enablers, eventually the jihadi impulses among the muslims will fade. We have a long haul though, at least until the muslims' oil runs out and their countries become dirt poor again.

On the other hand, if we don't keep them in check, we may become the killers. We may suffer so terrible an outrage that we react by slaughtering vast numbers of them. Remember the prophecy about Damascus?

Never heard of it. Tell me a little...

Like it or not... the political reality is the next POTUS will pull us out of Afghanistan and Iraq...

The prophecy:

Isaiah 17:1 — The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Isaiah 17 (King James Version)

Since Damascus is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, the prophecy is still unfulfilled.
