Doesn't Levin look like a chick as it breaks out of its shell?

Kudos to both Senators for going. After four plus years of war and subsequent occupation there has been ample time for all legislators to visit Iraq. It seems most visitors come back supporting the troops and the mission. Rep. Baird flipped to supporting the Iraq mission on his fifth trip.
Yes, they do look like fossils. We need new blood in Congress. The Warners, Leahys, Lugars, Kennedys, Byrds, etc. have served too long.

Did Levin ask to see any SS troops while he was there? Did he want to know when final defeat was coming?
Did Warner ask them if they have their bags packed to return home next year?
How humilating to have to host these duds.

I’m no supporter of either Senator, but at least they took the time to go. That way they can get a real account about the surge from the soldiers who are actually fighting and not just some hot air from politicians in DC. The trip forced Baird to change his mind, maybe it’ll do the same here. Ah, what a difference reality makes!
