analogy:
You have a severed femoral artery at this moment there is substantial pressure being applied to stop the bleeding. The hospital is far away. The Democrats argue that removing the pressure will force the ambulance driver to get you to the hospital faster and will force the doctors to work faster to try and save you, their positiion is that that even though they approved the use of the chain saw to cut down the tree the wound itself was self inflicted and therefore they should not be responsible for assisting by helping apply the pressure.

The President argues that keeping steady pressure and making a safe steady drive to the hospital will provide the best result and will allow for full recovery.

Any rational human being can see that the position of the Democrats is irresponsible and insane.

Nice analogy!

But since the majority of Americans (as they say) are not willing to comprehend the concept of war anymore...

Many that agree that we should keep the fight over there would say, why bother anymore...

I’m not one of those, but you just have to wonder how long its going to take before the Vietnam principle takes over when the political climate is right in 2009...Before the politicians force us to leave dragging our tails between our legs...

And it will be reported ad-nauseum that this is the right course...

This is the kind of generated BS that got that ball rolling...

I feel sickened that there are some people in this country that would cheapen and disrespect (once again) the sacrifices that have at least gotten us this far...
