it’s not an issue if the person has really repented about the infidelity...I can hear a real person who is differnet in Newt and he speaks about his errors of the past in a humble way. I don’t hear that same contrite spirit from Bill Clinton..I think he is the same womanizer regardless of whether or not he is a democrat. Almost everyone has committed some pretty bad sins in their lives so I wouldn’t be to self-righteous if I were you.

Well, we used to have standards in this party for personal morality. The impeachment was all about "principle", but now it seems to me that it was all about beating the other guy. I think people have seen politicians like Newt say one thing and do another, and rightly or wrongly have judged the entire party as hypocrites. America will forgive a sinner faster than it will forgive a hypocrite.

As for repentance, you are assuming that Bill hasn't made peace with Hillary or with the Lord. None of us can know that. As for Newt's situation, it was bad enough to cause him to give up his leadership role and his place in Congress. So he's basically been a non-factor in Washington since he left. Meanwhile, the R's in Congress have steadily been losing ground to D's. You might be willing to forgive, but I think his time has passed. He has squandered his opportunity to lead this country. You just don't get second chances to do that.

A man who commits serial adultery, divorces two wives after they became seriously ill,(The first one also wasn’t good-looking enough to be a political wife.)and then forces his family to go to their church for money for food is NOT a good man.
